The Emerging Sciences Victoria (ESV) team are currently looking for new sessional staff to lead classes in our virtual classroom.
Operating out of a dedicated broadcast studio on-campus at
John Monash Science School (JMSS), Emerging Sciences Victoria is a one-of-a-kind teaching and learning program that provides opportunities for students in Years 9 and 10 to engage in specialised, STEM-related courses through an interactive virtual classroom.
Growing at an exciting rate, and with a high demand for increases in both the number and range of available classes, an
opportunity exists for experienced, VIT-qualified teachers to join our team of presenters.
Ideally, we are
seeking candidates with experience in teaching at high school level with
background or knowledge in the following areas:
- Physics (in particular Astrophysics)
- Mathematics
- Biotechnology
- Nanoscience and/or Nanotechnology
- Neuroscience
- Geology/Earth Sciences
As the majority of our teaching is done from our physical studio at JMSS, t
eaching staff will need to be able to travel to/from Clayton, Victoria with relative ease, and
be present for a fixed timetable of live broadcasts each week, with days/times to be negotiated based on studio scheduling each semester.
If you are interested in this opportunity, are comfortable delivering content in digital environments and want to be part of an exciting initiative in Victorian education, please complete the short form below.
